From rock hound to cake pop creator, I have liberated the domestic kitchen goddess in me! Giving up the corporate lifestyle to pursue my passion has never been more decadent. I think you’ll agree!

I dipped my fingers into cake creation in 2004 by creating Lilacs N Laughter, A Cake for All Occasions. Working in the highly stressed geotechnical field full time plus raising two young children and attempting to launch a side business was hectic, to say the least!

However, early 2010 gave me the opportunity to consider ‘What am I doing? Do I want to be miserable for the rest of my life?’

‘No!’ I said to myself. ‘Do what makes you happy!’ And now that I’ve started, I can’t stop saying it.

That’s when I veered off into the wold of cake pops. With my background in cake, and cake pops’ whimsical and fun nature, it was a perfect fit. Hey! That’s a great idea for a name…Whimsy Pops!
