Cad Drafting
High school students compete in a contest at the local, regional and national levels. The students are presented with a “Design Problem” that is designed by a licensed Architect or Engineer and generic enough to meet the needs of all areas of the US.
Our 2007 competition was held at the Sabin-Schellenberg Center in Milwaukie . The Sabin-Schellenberg Center is part of the North Clackamas School District No. 12 and draws students from Clackamas, Milwaukie and Rex Putnum High Schools . Nancy Merchant is the CAD instructor and has used the NAWIC CAD competition as part of her curriculum for several years.
The 2007 winners are:
- 1st place: Thom Carroll
- 2nd place: Kevin Jackson
- 3rd place: Laicina Canham
